2024 Poster Contest
The Louis Robidoux Parkland & Pecan Grove is hosting our second annual Fall Festival Event! As part of the celebration, we are hosting a poster contest for all elementary-level students in the Jurupa Unified School District.
About
This district-wide poster contest is an opportunity for your students to creatively express the benefits of nature and outdoor activities. By focusing on the natural beauty and restoration of the Louis Robidoux Parkland and Pecan Grove, students will design posters that highlight how spending time outdoors leads to a healthier community. The contest aims to inspire creativity, promote environmental awareness, and encourage everyone to "Keep it Healthy, Keep it Wild." You can use this project to help students connect with their environment while reinforcing lessons in health, science, and art. It’s a fun, educational experience that could earn your students recognition and prizes at the 2024 Fall Festival!
Theme
Keep it Healthy, Keep it Wild! Students are encouraged to submit a poster that illustrates one or more ideas for keeping our bodies and our planet healthy by spending time outside, playing in and caring for our environment.
How to Participate
Contact us at education@iercd.org or (909) 283-7777 to schedule poster paper drop-off. Let us know the number of students participating and the best day and time for drop-off. We will visit again to pick up your class’s posters when they’re complete! Submitted posters MUST include student’s name, teacher, grade, and school on the back. All posters missing this student information will be disqualified. The top 3 posters will be displayed at the Fall Festival!
